I have read other posts by you and decided to try a free subscription. I read this post up to the point where you have placed CBS News as a "centrist" news source. Sorry, but that is pretty much gone, IMHO. If you think that is centrist, then I have to recalibrate what I thought you were.
On “centrist,” I’m not giving CBS a halo or a purity test; I’m describing how that outlet handled this specific story (more process, official statements, and what’s on the record, less overt ideological language). If you read CBS as right-leaning overall, that’s a fair read, and I’m not here to litigate anybody’s brand.
My aim with Spin Spectrum is to help readers see the different angles so they can triangulate the facts, not to tell you who to trust. Either way, thanks for reading as far as you did.
I can subscribe from 15 substacks for the same price as the NYT and get different points of view that includes the NYT coverage. What you're describing is "Legalized Murder." I'm working on part three of my substact series by that name. Thanks for sharing your insights. I invite you to read mine. See you in comments. Take care.
Appreciate your hard work, happy to support you.
