"Ouch!" Wonderful piece. Is there what appears to be a loop midway through? Or was that a refrain that I failed to catch? Either way this is a powerful and moving piece of writing. One of your best so far from what little of your work I've seen.

Hey Adam I’m grateful it landed with you and yeah that was a refrain. Probably should have put a marker there.

I will find the $$$ to subscribe. I felt like I was reading Baldwin! The first time I read you, I thought, "I think this guy gets it." Now, I know it. By owning our shit, it flushes out. In a way, it's better that you didn't have a mask to hide behind. It forced you to become your true self, a gift too many will never know. And, make no mistake: you are a gift! I'm so glad I found your replies to Robert Reich and kept going!

I think all of us can relate to feelings of jealousy and a lack of accomplishment. I just think you're being a bit hard on yourself. I know I've felt bad about myself when comparing myself to other people. Doing that never seems to bring out the best in anyone.
