Thx Thomas. Glad this reached you first. The flattering stories can catch us with our guard down because we want them to be true no matter what, especially when they involve somebody we admire.
Sit down, very good words for those imposters, who I wish would indeed sit down (and shut up!). The mannerisms that they describe are not at all what I see with Heather Cox Richardson, she does not sit tilt her head, etc... that is bull. (I am deaf, so I really see body language and notice it, and that isn't it!) I will listen to her on her channel (with captions), read her writing and that is good enough for me - I am also not on facebook, so I am a bit biased there. But, thank you for pointing this out - there are many who need to know this! There is plenty of genuine content out there to read, no need to make up fake stuff.
Dawn, I deeply appreciate you explaining what you noticed about her body language. They gave her a whole performance along with words she never said. I’m with you on going straight to her own writing and captioned videos.
Thank you for this. It is quite apparent it is fake. Can’t think of a venue or event that Professor HCR would ever be present with Erika Kirk.. Erika is more the spectacle of sparklers and fireworks…

When a story looks good enough to share, I try to fully vet the sources first. Before that, I use personal observation to examine the shape and framing of the report. Most of it turns out to be lazy slop deserving no further scrutiny, and often contains one or more triggers directed at a specific audience. We are the de facto agitprop firewall.
I had not seen this supposed meeting but I doubt I would have fallen for the deception. I only say that because I could not imagine Prof Richardson agreeing to debate or even share the stage with that person.
I subscribe and enjoy listening to HCR on Substack and on YouTube. I also enjoy reading your posts too. You and HCR usually lead me to the same understanding of the problem, just by different pathways.
I hear ya. Knowing her work would give you a reason to question that setup. Listen, my worry is how easily any of us can lower our guard when a story gives us something we want to believe. Those stories deserve just as much scrutiny as the ones that piss us off. Her actual words are worth sharing.
