This really pisses me off! I ditched Democrats when I learned that Billary were still controlling things with their "New Democrats" philosophy (which means: If you can't beat them, join them $$$). Democrats have fooled us for long enough. They capitalized on Toni Morrison's claims and distorted them, calling Clinton "the first Black President." Barack was another smooth-talker. He could have passed Single-payer healthcare in the first two years of his presidency, but went for ACA, which is slowly being dismantled. Now, we have "inflencers" doing their dirty work. Is it any wonder Americans don't trust anybody. Their platform (unless they lie and pretend to be Bernie) will be: Unless you want full frontal authoritarianism, you'd better vote, and you'ld better vote blue. It will allow them to "get back to normal," which we've been screaming about since Obama campaigned on "Hope and Change." I'm sick of the fear mongering.

As of August 31, 2025, the piece remains live, untouched, and unrefuted. No editor’s note, no correction..nothing. All the chatter about a retraction? Pure rumor and disinformation.
Even more telling: WIRED just followed up with more reporting on this very issue….which isn’t a move you make if you’re disavowing it. The truth hasn’t changed. The credibility still stands.
So yeah if you felt your gut pull on that, you were listening right. The real question is why anyone would just want *wish* the truth away.
