Brian thank you for stepping up. And I wanna say thank you to everyone who’s gone paid before today and today, upgraded, gifted, or shared. That support keeps XVOA independent and keeps the deep dives movin.
After lurking as a free subscriber for a few months (and being blown away by how much content you produce!), I joined as a paid subscriber earlier this week. I was considering joining as a paid subscriber for several weeks, and while I can't remember which article made me hand over the $$, the Bondi piece and this funding request would have done the trick if I hadn't already said "take my money!"
You are someone who speaks honestly and stands firm in your beliefs. I am a subscriber and plan to remain. I have been through a major move this month. I can upgrade at the end of the month.
I become a paid subscriber recently because I realised that I thought it was healthy how your writing made me stop and think all the time. I really enjoy the high quality of your writing, too. Plus you obviously do your homework and bring receipts for all your work. I know that that is a massive job so I felt I had to show my appreciation by becoming a paid subscriber. Thank you for your excellent writing and very hard work bringing us important news and sharp, thought-provoking insights.
I subscribed early on and am glad I did. I was more regular in reading your work than lately. I have found the number of journalists has increased and the variety they offer is almost overwhelming. It's hard to keep up with all I want to learn and read. I'm becoming more apt to read short, concise journalism. I'm sure I've missed a number of yours and others lately. Try not to take the cliff to personally. There's a lot bubbling up these days.
So sorry this happened. You are one of my favorites and I often share with some of my students interested in the criminal legal system. Already a subscriber

You write so well about the things we need to know. That's why I went paid a couple of months ago, and why I hope more folks will do so now.
Ditto to what Deb said!
I just reposted this with a note encouraging folks to follow Xplisset. I have valued his unique experience and viewpoint.

Your insights make me think and consider other perspectives that had not occurred to me. Bravo for your deep thoughts and perspective!
