" While that was explicit to me from media reporting it also suggests that Bondi's replacement (who does not matter, I think, as much as media is indicating) will have what she has, oops...had...and that is a job that, essentially by definition, is simply not possible to execute. My opinion is based on the fact that Bondi turned herself inside out, made an utter fool of herself, and displayed significant incompetence --- when held to account, either by a committee or by media. And yet that was not enough for Trump, because, and here I theorize from what I garnered from media, she looked so foolish and inept, reflecting back on Trump, in addition to her lack of aggressive persecution against crimes not committed. Her replacement has the same problem. Like her, he/she will almost certainly milk the position for self-gain well above and beyond salary, enriching themselves, family, and so on, but will also have to satisfy that "presidential appetite". And that, I think we should all know by now, is literally impossible. It is so on two levels. Even if Democrats, reporters and so on could be found guilty minus the rule of law and anything approaching traditional due process -- Trump's wet dream -- he would still never be satisfied, wanting anyone guilty of the most minor slight put away for life. But the fact is not all judges have gone the Judge Canon route...most have not, and rule of law still applies. So what he may see as a crime -- insisting, for example, on congressional oversight where mandated by the constitution -- won't, can't, lead to a court conviction. So either the new person on the block fails to satisfy Trump by not laying enough charges, or he or she fails to satisfy Trump by an increasing amount of failures to attain conviction. The option that Trump wants -- satisfaction -- still being impossible. Bondi may have been a little too corrupt, not for Trump, but to avoid media scrutiny and the new guy may last longer by being a little less overt in attaining a share of the goodies, but the job, itself, cannot be done under this presidency.
Exactly, Barry. That’s why the current acting AG, Trump’s former personal lawyer, can sit in the chair but cannot really become permanent in any meaningful sense. The wall is not the title. The wall is that Trump wants an attorney general who can satisfy presidential appetite and still survive contact with courts, facts, and due process, and that job keeps breaking the person holding it.
And then there was that general who was fired, and that, to me, is an even more serious problem, if, as I speculate minus facts, he was let go for speaking truth to power; for trying to educate the Secretary of Defense on military matters as they pertain to what is shaping up to be another lost war for the U.S., given that "escalation" won't free up the bottleneck in international oil delivery unless there are "boots on the ground" (gad I tire of hearing that). Given the size of manpower (no women need apply) available to the Iranians, and a different attitude, it is claimed, toward death (although I don't see it in the few Iranians I have met), thus less fear of it than do Americans, promise of a heavenly ever-after notwithstanding, the objective, clearly stated by Trump, of acquiring Iranian oil (reference Venezuela) cannot be obtained by the manpower (no women need apply, or, um, people of any non-white colour, or, hey, let's go all out, non-Christians) now available. But the man-, indeed, person-, power needed exists within the U.S. population, but will require the draft to get it. And while Baron need not worry about dying on some stony sand dune where people don't know how to speak English, the MAGA base sure has to worry about such a fate if there is a draft. And that would lead to the very real possibility of a very real revolt and an awakening even among the reddest of red states as to how badly they've been conned. All of this with the Epstein files lurking in the not so far back ground. The alternative, now increasingly in play, is to avoid the draft, avoid that footwear on rocky substrate, and continue to bleed billions a day into operations run by white Christian men whose sole purpose is to do as they are told by a hierarchy that goes up the chain of command. That chain penultimately reaches Pete Hegseth, a man whose homoerotic manifestations speak to deeply-seated insecurities untempered by any meaningful degree of knowledge, experience, or intelligence...a deadly trifecta trumped by Trump, the ultimate head honcho whose fantasies flow down that chain of command to the guy whose boots really have to land on Iranian ground and whose gut may well bleed out moments later, all in the service of that which simply cannot be attained any other way, if at all, and of no value to him or his family. Keeping away from the draft becomes a contest between which ends first, the supply of American and American-provided Israeli weapons and ammo and the cash to pay for it, or the far less expensive weapons and ammo, plus people, Iran can place on the other side of that ghastly equation while the rest of us suffer increasing costs of everything depending on oil, which means pretty well everything.
Trump is also buying time to keep the Epstein coverup going - for as long as possible, ideally forever. Remember the role Todd Blanche had in interviewing Ghislaine Maxwell.
Pam Bondi can’t coverup anymore. The walls are closing in. She’s forced to release files. She can’t prosecute if there’s no evidence. So he’s pissed. After all the hollering. Justice is justice. He’s creating his own Saturday night Massacre and he doesn’t even know it. Now Blantche who gave Maxwell the prison camp. This is all about Epstein and protecting him. Bondi knows everything. Conveniently she has a deposition coming up. Now she can just go plead the 5th and go back to the private sector and this investigation can get slowed down. Sounds about right. I hope they get justice. Just like Noam Bondi did a terrible job. She gaslit. And didn’t listen to the victims. She carried his water. And now she’s a scapegoat and got burned.
Thanks for your comprehensive view. It helps to understand where to throw the next truckload of sand. It also helps to know who has the greatest need as we continue to resist.
Ok in the meantime try this https://buymeacoffee.com/xplisset Lemme know if that works for you if so then I’ll start including that link for Android users.

The "Buy Me a Coffee" link does not seem to work from the Substack app on my Android phone.
